Ken Lum at Vancouver Art Gallery's Offsite

I drive by these structures about twice a week and have always meant to park somewhere downtown and get a closer look at them. My car was at the Mechanic’s for most of the morning so I thought I would finally make some time and take a closer look at them. These smaller-than-life works of art by Ken Lum are replicas of the huts that were built on Maplewood mudflats in North Vancouver in the later half of the 20th Century.  These are incredible structures and they are in place until September 6th, 2010 at the Shangri-la (Georgia and Thurlow).
